HEAT RECOVERY VENTILATION
Heat Recovery ventilation (HRV) is whole house ventilation that recovers heat that would otherwise have been lost through conventional methods

Heat recovery is a balanced whole house ventilation system that both supply's and extracts air while recovering up to 95% of heat that would have otherwise been lost through the ventilation process. With a centrally mounted heat recovery unit located in a cupboard, plant room or attic space, fresh, filtered air is supplied to living areas through diffusers which are fitted in each habitable room, while moisture and odours are extracted from the kitchen and wet rooms

Heat Recovery Ventilation can be fitted in any building but is best suited in new build properties trying to achieve a high building energy rating (BER) and the unit used should be based on a calculation of floor area, number of bathrooms and occupancy levels. Regulatory flow rates are detailed in Part F of the Building Regulations
